Will You Consider Partnering With Us in Serving Our Survivors this Holiday Season?

It’s that time of year and unfortunately, it’s also a particularly difficult one for our survivors. Many of our survivors are continuing to feel the lingering impact of the government shutdown and are struggling to catch up, especially as additional expenses that come with the holidays rapidly approach. We want to ask our community to consider a partnership with us as we surround our survivors and their families with love this holiday season.

Gift Bags

Our annual gift bags tradition is back!

We are excited to continue our yearly tradition of blessing our survivors with gift bags for Christmas. To contribute, please select an item from the list and drop it off at the Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ church during operating hours or the home of Gretchen Carvella (near Simpson Library in Mechanicsburg). Contact volunteer@peacepromise.org to arrange.

Self-Care Kits

Help us pamper our Survivors!

Soaps by Survivors self-care kits will be included in holiday gift bags. These kits contain a Soaps by Survivors car diffuser, foaming soap, lip balm and body butter. You can sponsor one for $25. Please put “Christmas SBS kits” in the memo line of your donation.

Gift Cards

Help Us to Provide Necessities for Survivors and their Families!

We’re connecting our survivors with local resources like New Hope Ministries, Salvation Army, and church food banks; however, we are looking to round out what they can obtain by requesting gift cards to ensure that their basic needs are met. Click the link to donate money, listing “gift cards” in the memo line, or drop off grocery store (i.e. Aldi, Giant, Karns) gift cards at the register of Good Ground Coffee during operating hours. As benefits are restored and survivor needs subside, any surplus of gift cards or designated donations will be used for need-based food assistance in the future.
